French Club Event: BBQ this Wednesday!

A reminder to all to come to the French Club BBQ this Wednesday in the Agora and fortify yourself with FREE FOOD! Sausages, bread, sauce, mustard and onions await you.

We will be kicking off at midday and wrapping things up around 3pm (or whenever the last saucission is devoured).

Food Safari’s Videos of French Recipes

SBS’s Food Safari has a vertiable treasure trove of excellent videos of French recipes available for streaming on their website!

Amongst them are many featuring Gabriel Gaté both as himself and a kind of French gendarme alterego exploring French cuisine from various regions. Here are just some of his best:

French Club at O-Week 2011

It was a few months ago now, but for anyone who didn’t get the chance to see us at the time, here’s how we looked at O-Week! That’s Jess, our present Trésorière, behind the array of mini French flags and obligatory bonbons. It was a stunningly beautiful day, and we were thrilled to sign up so many great new members!

Weekly French Conversation Sessions

The French Club is excited to announce that we will now be running weekly conversation sessions! This will be a wonderful opportunity to practice your French outside the classroom, mingle with your fellow club members, plus hopefully a lovely mid-week break.

When? Tuesdays 5pm till 6pm.
Where? HU3 106.
Why? A extra chance to practice and improve your French on campus.

Come along ready to speak French, il faut y parler français! Tout le monde est le bienvenu.

Well, week eleven is upon us and no doubt you’re all drowning in end of semester homework. But the midst of your studies why not join up with the French Club to enjoy a lovely saucisson drowning in moutarde? We’d love to see you!

When? Wednesday 1 June Midday to 3:00pm.
Where? The Agora.
Why? To hang out with the French Club, celebrate the end of semester and say bonjour to those who haven’t met or heard of us.
